Nancy O'Dell's first position in the broadcasting industry was as an anchor and reporter at WPDE-TV Myrtle Beach South Carolina. In the following years, she worked as a morning news anchor and crime reporter at WCBD-TV. The work of O'Dell in Charleston regarding the leniency of police officers towards DUI cases led to an investigation by the State Law Enforcement Division investigating the DUI instances. Ms. O'Dell won the Best Report of the Media Award South Carolina by the Associated Press. O'Dell's work in Charleston has led to her serving as co-anchor and investigative reporter and anchor for NBC's Miami WTVJ-TV. Before she joined Access Hollywood she was a weekday co-anchor as well as the NBC weekend co-anchor. Alongside her role as anchor on Access Hollywood Ms. O'Dell is also an anchor for NBC News' Today and as well for Dateline NBC. She's been a reporter for the Oscars The Emmys The Grammys The Golden Globe Awards and co-hosted several Pre-ShowArrivals Shows for The Emmys And The Golden Globes. She also co-hosted the Miss USA pageant and the Miss Universe pageant.
